Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. If prescribed, your medication is prepared by Olympia Pharmacy, a licensed compounding pharmacy, from a prescription written by a licensed provider after reviewing your health history. The FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality. Completing the health assessment does not guarantee a prescription. Results vary, and medication works alongside changes to what you eat and how you move.

Common questions
Message us with anything else. We reply within four hours on weekdays.
Will I be approved?
A licensed provider decides after reviewing your history. Most adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 with a weight-related condition, qualify. Pregnancy and a history of medullary thyroid cancer are among the exclusions. If you aren't approved, you get a full refund.
Does the injection hurt?
It's a very small needle, once a week, in the stomach or thigh. Most people find it milder than a flu shot. The daily tablet is an option if you'd rather avoid needles.
What are the side effects?
Nausea, constipation and tiredness are common in the first few weeks and usually ease. Your provider starts you on a low dose and increases it slowly to help. Get care right away for severe stomach pain, vomiting you can't stop or an allergic reaction.
How fast does it ship?
Provider review usually takes under 24 hours. Once prescribed, the pharmacy ships within [X] business days by 2-day cold-packed delivery. Most people have medication within a week.
Is this the same as Wegovy or Zepbound?
No. Wegovy and Zepbound are FDA-approved brand-name drugs. Ours are compounded versions of the same active ingredients, made to order by a licensed pharmacy, and are not FDA-approved. That's why they cost much less.
Can I stop whenever I want?
Yes. Cancel from your portal and you won't be charged again. Your plan runs to the end of the paid month, and your provider will tell you if you should taper.
What the words mean
What is a GLP-1?
GLP-1 is a hormone your gut makes after you eat. It tells your brain you're full and slows how fast your stomach empties. GLP-1 medicines copy that hormone, so most people feel full sooner and think about food less. People also say "a GLP-1" to mean one of these medicines.
Is Ozempic a GLP-1?
Yes. Ozempic is Novo Nordisk's brand of semaglutide, a GLP-1 medicine. The FDA approved it for type 2 diabetes, not weight loss, though doctors sometimes prescribe it for weight loss anyway (that's called off-label). Wegovy is the same ingredient, approved for weight loss.
What's the difference between Ozempic and Wegovy?
Both contain semaglutide and both are weekly injections from Novo Nordisk. Ozempic is approved for type 2 diabetes. Wegovy is approved for weight loss and goes to higher doses. Wegovy also comes as a daily pill, approved in December 2025.
Are Mounjaro and Zepbound GLP-1s?
Yes, with an extra step. Both contain tirzepatide, which acts on GLP-1 and on a second gut hormone called GIP. Eli Lilly sells it as Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes and Zepbound for weight loss. Both are weekly injections.
What is semaglutide?
The active ingredient in Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus. It acts on GLP-1 only. It comes as a weekly injection or a daily tablet.
What is tirzepatide?
The active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound. It acts on two hormones, GLP-1 and GIP. It's a weekly injection.
Is there a GLP-1 pill?
Yes, three are FDA-approved: Rybelsus (semaglutide, for type 2 diabetes), the Wegovy pill (semaglutide, for weight loss) and Foundayo (orforglipron, an Eli Lilly pill for weight loss approved in April 2026). Fairline's tablet is compounded semaglutide. It isn't any of these brands.
What does "compounded" mean?
A compounded medicine is made by a licensed pharmacy for one patient's prescription. Ours uses the same active ingredient as the brand-name drug but is a different product made by a different maker. Compounded medicines aren't FDA-approved, which means the FDA doesn't review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they're sold. That's why we name our pharmacy and post each lot's lab test.
What does "FDA-approved" mean?
The drug's maker ran clinical trials and the FDA reviewed them before allowing it to be sold for a specific use, like type 2 diabetes or weight loss. Brand-name GLP-1s are FDA-approved. Compounded versions are not.
What does "off-label" mean?
A doctor prescribing an FDA-approved drug for a use it wasn't approved for. Ozempic for weight loss is a common example. It's legal and common, but the use wasn't part of the drug's FDA review.
What is BMI?
Body mass index: your weight compared with your height. A BMI of 30 or more is the usual line for these medicines, or 27 or more if you also have a weight-related condition like high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. You can check yours during the five-minute assessment.
Why does my dose go up over time?
Starting low and stepping up, usually every four weeks, gives your body time to adjust and makes side effects like nausea milder. Your provider decides each step and can hold you at a dose that's working.
